Building a brand can mean a lot of different things. The most important element of a strong brand presence is community building. With social media, you have a huge opportunity to tap into your network and connect directly to the consumer. Community building is often overlooked but is a key piece in building an authentic brand.

When we shop, we typically shop for things that speak to us. Customers and people want to support brands they can relate to. Yeah, maybe you can pay for a big budget influencer to promote your product but do they speak to your audience? When you first started your business, who was it that you were trying to support? Think of this person when you develop a brand story. Brands that are authentic grow exceptionally. There is so much fluff already out there but it’s important to stay true to who you really are and to share that story with others.

Social media has given the consumer a lot more control than it’s previously had. The power is in the taps of the people who can see beyond your brand. Most people use their feeds to post pictures of their cats or of their friends. Businesses operate a lot differently. Who are you? Who are the team members on the team? You may think people don’t care but they do. Especially if you’re claiming to be a leader or an expert, share your knowledge with your audience and make them feel like they are apart of your mission because they are.

The traditional practice is to work in silence and to some extent that still holds value but if you want a more engaging audience you have to be transparent and vulnerable in a unique way. Create tools and services your community can use to empower their passions. Let’s say you’re a blogger that talks about motivation. A motivational quote won’t cut it anymore. Talk about how you stay motivated and on top of your day. Share the tools you use. You can’t assume that people will register what you said. You need to understand and listen to your audience. There are people behind the likes and taps that you should want to engage with.

The brands we love are the ones that offer services that speak to our personal and professional growth. Those brands show that they care and can empathize with our team. If you want a team that truly treats brands like their own, look no further. We can offer you strategic ways to target your community more effectively.

Don’t worry about keeping up with the trends, we’ve got you covered!

Over the past few years, we have seen a huge boom in the digital marketing space. With that comes the need for beautiful, engaging content that will create a community around your brand. Content marketing is the next phase of the digital marketing revolution. Our team of experts can help you craft a strategy that suits your needs in authentic, organic ways.

What is content marketing?

Content marketing is a strategic way to share creative, engaging materials across various social media platforms. This form of marketing is common on digital marketing teams to attract key audiences to promote a brand or a business. It’s effective because it allows you to communicate with your client in an interactive way. By doing so, you build a community around your brand. Most people nowadays are looking for companies and teams they connect with. When you curate content, you are able to tap into the emotions and interests on a deeper level.

Putting together a well crafted feed is no easy feat. There is a lot that goes into it. A consultant from our team can discuss effective ways to get the most out of each material you post. Some of these materials can be ads, social media graphics, Instagram stories, Facebook posts, blog posts, and the list goes on.

The biggest takeaway from content marketing is that it needs to be intentionally thought out. Many brands and companies plan their content strategies months in advance because with every post appropriate hashtags and tags needed to be included to drive more traffic.

Strategic Ways to Invest in Your Business in 2019

Strategic Ways to Invest in Your Business in 2019 1254 837 Tarlon Khoubyari

In 2019, we all have goals we want to reach: wellness goals, financial goals, travel goals. Well, at Boss Business Market we want to make your #goals into a reality. We curated a list of ways you can invest strategically in your business and we have experts that can help you achieve them.

Step Up Your Social Media Game

Come on, it’s 2019. Social media is becoming increasingly more important to grow your brands’ presence. Since Instagram’s launch, the platform expanded from being a place where people post photos of their cats and friends to an interactive marketplace where your next customer shops for your product. With the algorithm changing every quarter or so, we work harder to make sure your community is built organically and authentically to serve what matters to you.

Your social media page doesn’t need to be an avenue where users shop. It can be a space where your audience comes to get advice, tips, see what you’re working on. First impressions are extremely important. How you tell your story takes a fresh creative perspective to introduce what your company does. It welcomes new customers with open arms and also gives you a chance to engage with them in a whole new way.

Social Media platforms post millions of ads every single day to attract a range of audiences. With every few posts, there is an ad and you can gain likes, engagement, and opportunities with a tap of a finger.

Build a team that just gets it

They say “if you want to go fast go alone but if you want to go far go together”. If you’re a small company or an influencer who feels a little burnt out or maybe you’re a leader who wants a fresh perspective on things you want a team who will work with you on your journey to become the best you can be. It’s always a challenge to find people who will work as hard as you but at Boss Business Market we do a lot of the hard work for you so you can focus on the more important things. We treat the companies we work with as if they were our own and hire the right people to get the job done. Schedule an appointment with us to see how we can elevate your enterprise and take your brand to the next level.

Automate Your Life

Convenience saves you a lot of time. A huge technology trend we are keeping our eyes on is automation. Automation makes your life a lot simpler and its already in technology that we use every day. If you use a content scheduler to post on your feeds, that’s automation. We see it in cars, devices in our homes, and interact with these genius robots without knowing it. AI can be intimidating to people who may not quite understand the power of it. Gartner predicts automation as being the leading technical trend of 2019. AI will push the boundaries of the technology we are using today.

We stay on-top of the digital, technology, and business trends so you can focus on growing your business. Schedule a consultation with us in 2019 so we can get started on elevating. We know that 2018 was a hard year for most of us but we want to work collectively with you to build and conquer.

More Data. More Problems.

Is too much data a bad thing?

Data is being collected faster and faster every day. The Big Data Analytics Industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. The process of extracting data and understanding it has become a key player to develop effective strategies to take your business to the next level.

But when it comes to data, less can be more.

“There are 2.5 quintillion bytes of data created each day at our current pace”. You can find anything and everything by a few keystrokes. We’ve created almost 90% of the world’s data in the past two years alone. Data can be anything: photos, videos, personal information, foods we like, tweets we favorite, you name it. There are tons of personal data our devices are collecting. If you have a fancy smartwatch, that’s personal data you can tap into. We have seen the benefits of using data in social media to grow brands and companies but sometimes, the challenge is figuring out what to do with it all.

Now, what happens with all that data? I would say 85% of it doesn’t get used because most people don’t know how to use it. Big Data is a fancy word for any large amount of data that can be analyzed and used. The keyword in there is analyzed. Data analysis is taking large sets of information and finding the meaning behind it. It’s focusing on the “why” behind the data. You use data to answer the questions you have but there’s always more that can be discovered and understood. Sometimes the amount of information being captured can be overwhelming since there is so much of it. Not all of the data your organization collects is actionable but it can be.

Data is the secret sauce to owning a successful business.

With the amount of data being collected, leaders often struggle with using all of it in ways that can improve the strategy. Knowledge is power but only if you can take action on it.

If you find yourself stuck in this hole, take a step back and remember what your primary goals are. What is important to you? Why is it important? Who is the audience/target market? Why?  Think strategically about what data you’re collecting to ensure you’re getting the most out of it.

Talk to your team about the effective ways you can use your data. If you can’t use it or protect it, it’s not valuable. If you’re still stuck, contact us and we can help you understand your data.

8 things about technology and business you need to know right now

8 things about technology and business you need to know right now 2400 1232 Tarlon Khoubyari

2018 was a huge year in technology. We saw leaders being held accountable on the Congressional floor, improvements in our smart devices, and a boom in the digital marketing space. If 2018 is anything like 2019, we will be in for a treat.

Here are 8 headlines that began the New Year in business and technology:

  1. Netflix quietly made a change to its iPhone app that should spook Apple – Apple gets a cut (around 15%) from every user that streams Netflix on their mobile device or iPad. Originally, if you were a new user to Netflix and wanted to stream your favorite TV show or understand why Bird Box is a big deal, you’d be directed to iTunes to pay for your service. But instead, Netflix now redirects you to their website so you can purchase from their site directly. This enables Netflix to keep all the earnings from their month-to-month service.
  2. Instagram – Instagram tested out their new scrolling feature and the world was set ablaze. In an attempt to improve the scrolling quality of users Instagram came under fire by introducing a novel way for people to scroll through their feed. Enter, horizontal swiping, which emboldened ads and ruined users timelines. After the masses tweeted tweets of anger, Instagram switched back to the original version.
  3. Why Digital Marketing Matters – still not convinced as to why your company needs a team of experts to help you leverage your business? Social media has become a disrupter of branding and product development. At Boss Business Market, we have made it our ally and strength. We use social media to share a narrative about your brand, mission, or product to the rest of the world. We believe in authentic growth that’s inspired by creative storytelling.
  4. CES 2019 is days away. CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is a showcase of the innovative, exciting technology trends coming in the new year. Think of this as the auto show of technology gadgets, companies, and brands. This will set a good picture of what we, as consumers, should expect in 2019. Over the past few years, we have seen a huge wave of IoT products getting into the hands of consumers. Our kitchens and TVs are only going to get smarter. Expect to see an expanded line of IoT tools to make that all happen.
  5. Lyft is launching a new Grocery Access Program – Having access to fresh fruits and vegetables shouldn’t depend on your socioeconomic status. Unfortunately, in many communities, there is a significant shortage of grocery stores available to offer families who live in a food desert a discounted shared ride to a grocery store. According to Bustle, “In a food desert, the walking distance to a grocery store is typically more than half a mile, more than 40 percent of households have no access to transportation, and the median household income is less than 185 percent of the federal poverty level for a family of four, which was about $44,995 in 2015, says the D.C. Policy Center.”
  6. Fingerprint scanning is a convenient tool we use to get into the most sensitive portals. We use our fingerprints to get into our phones, bank accounts, and more, but now this technology, which began on mobile apps will be able to control our cars automatically. A new development that furthers our immediate need to just tap and go. Don’t even worry about forgetting your key.
  7. An episode – Netflix takes down an episode of Hasan Minaj’s Show: The Patriot Act that violated Saudi cybercrime laws. The caused a lot of controversy because Minaj criticized Saudi Arabian Prince Mohammed Bin Salman. Netflix put out a statement stating “We strongly support artistic freedom worldwide and only removed this episode in Saudi Arabia after we had received a valid legal request — and to comply with local law.” The episode can still be streamed in other countries and can be viewed on Youtube.
  8. Tesla took a 9% hit this past quarter. Delivering less than 100,000 vehicles (2,000 fewer than their goal), they did not make their stockholders very happy. Even though Elon Musk decided to boost production they still disappointed their investors. To make up for the loss, Tesla discounted their cars by $2,000.

2019 will be a year that implements more of the latest trends that will improve upon our practice to build lasting relationships with our clients and inherently ourselves. As always, stay tuned for more content from our team here at Boss Business Market.
